Meet Our Team
Janet Duvall
Executive Director
Janet has been the Executive director at TGS since 2010 navigating through years of change and opportunities. She received her Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University and M.Ed. from Texas State University. She practiced Speech Language Pathology in Neurologic Rehabilitation for over 20 years before exploring the art world. A pastel artist who does not blow glass, her appreciation for the art form and its impact on individual’s lives continues to drive her dedication to TGS.

Kayla Ohlmer
Program Director
Growing up in Oklahoma Kayla began blowing glass in Oklahoma City when she was in high school. She attended Centre College in Kentucky where she graduated with a BA in Studio Art in 2014. After graduating she worked as a Studio Assistant at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio in Norfolk VA and has been privileged to attend other institutions such as Pilchuck Glass School and Penland School of Craft. In 2020, she received her MFA from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Her work explores themes of perception, distortion, and vanity.

Jake Arnett

Jake Arnett found his passion for glass while attending Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska, where he received a B.A. in Studio Art in 2019. In his artistic practice, he uses glass to explore the fundamental laws of the universe, and has an affection for form, color, and transparency.

Jonathan Bolivar
Outreach Coordinator & Instructor
Jon is a glass blower from Tulsa, Oklahoma. His focus lies in reaching the local community with the unique beauty of glass art. Jonathan’s artwork stems from Venetian glass techniques, original production designs of glasswares and the addition of sculptural elements. Much of his work focuses on utilizing glass for different projects, in the interest of material mindfulness.

Drew Duvall
Instructor
Drew started blowing glass at TGS when he was 10 years old. He spent every summer in the hot shop learning the technical aspects of glass eventually becoming a glass instructor. His experience at TGS has shaped his life providing him with insights in others’ lives. Drew has his degree in Political Science (Honors) from Oklahoma State Universtiy and is currently in Law School at the University of Tulsa.
