Fall Classes Now Forming!
Glass Experiences - $25 (By appointment beginning September 4th, 2010)

This provides an individual the opportunity to experience molten glass and the use of tweezers to manipulate the glass. A flower is created during this experience with assistance from the instructor/technician for gathering, reheating, etc.

Length of this class is generally 30-40 minutes.
Introduction to Glassblowing - $95 (By appointment beginning September 4th, 2010)

This class exposes the student to the sculpting of molten glass using a variety of tools. The student will create two items - A flower and a paper weight and will attempt to blow a bubble. The instructor/technician does the gathering and assists with all aspects of the projects.

Length of this class is generally 1.5 hours.
Adult Beginning Glassblowing - $400 (Non-refundable deposit of $200 required.)

Begins Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 6:30pm - 8:30pm
or
Saturday, September 11th, 2010 10:00am - 12:00pm

This is a 6-week (total of 12 hours) course in which the student learns the basics of glassblowing. There is instruction and practice on gathering molten glass from the furnace, use of the tools to manipulate the glass, blowing into the pipe to create a bubble with the glass, creation of puntis and transferring of pieces onto another pipe. The studentwill create multiple pieces ranging from flowers to paperweights to vessels.
Intermediate Glassblowing - $400 (Non-refundable deposit of $200 required.)

Begins September 8th, 2010 6:30pm - 8:30pm

This is a 6-week course which follows the completion of the Beginning Class. The student will continue to hone skills learned in the Beginning Class and be exposed to advanced techniques. Multiple pieces will be created with the focus on sculpting and vessels.
Advanced Glassblowing - $500 (Non-refundable deposit of $250 required.)

This 6-week course is appropriate for students who have completed the Beginning and Intermediate Classes successfully and is by instructor recommendation only. Students will learn advanced techniques and design concepts that relate to advanced glass art.
Private Lessons ($60 per hour) are available by appointment and instructor availability.


Studio Rental ($40 per hour - renter provides own color and assistant.) TGS can provide an assistant for $10/hour with 48 hours notice.
